Young Voices Share Their Vision for Carrickfergus

At the public consultation event held in late 2025, residents of all ages were invited to explore the latest design proposals for the Carrickfergus Regeneration plans and share their views. While much of the feedback came through conversations, written comments and discussion boards, some of the most thoughtful contributions came from the town’s youngest residents.

Children attending the event were encouraged to take part in a creative activity, drawing what Carrickfergus means to them. The results were imaginative, colourful and heartfelt. Across the drawings submitted, familiar landmarks such as Carrickfergus Castle, the harbour and the seafront featured prominently, alongside depictions of family, nature, boats and community life.
