Consultation Event – September 2025

On 24th September, a public drop-in event was held at the Civic Centre, Carrickfergus, to present the latest Stage 3 Developed Designs for the £42m Carrickfergus City Deal Regeneration Project.

The event gave residents, businesses and visitors an opportunity to view the current proposals for regeneration across key locations in the town, including the harbour, castle, town centre public realm and Civic Centre courtyard. Members of the design and project teams were on hand throughout the afternoon and evening to answer questions and gather feedback.

Visitors were encouraged to share their views through feedback forms and conversations, where people could discuss their memories of Carrickfergus and hopes for the town’s future.

The consultation is part of an ongoing process to inform the next stage of design and planning. Feedback gathered at the event will be reviewed and used to help refine proposals before the project moves forward.
